The legislative wheels in the European Union keep on moving towards free farrowing, writes Dr Vivi Aarestrup Moustsen, welfare and equipment expert, attached to SEGES Innovation in Denmark. Bit by bit, a cohesive framework is being developed to eventually lead to sustainable legislation. She shares her view from inside the process. I feel thankful – because the Eurogroup for Animals and members of the EU Parliament have reached out to get information from practice and science in their work
