ASF vaccine tackles some, but not all strains

An international team of scientists from the USA and Kenya has concluded that an African Swine Fever (ASF) vaccine can protect pigs against some strains of the virus but offers little or no protection against others. The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Nairobi, Kenya, was one of the institutes that contributed to the research.
