Blog: The Five Freedoms – outdated and simply wrong

I have not heard anyone criticise the Five Freedoms. They are so well known that they have their own Wikipedia page (see below). I don’t want to say they are dumb, but they are simple minded. And, simply, wrong. In this series, I will take them one at a time. And I will offer an alternative to these simplistic rules. I’m not going to repeat here where they originate and who lead the commission and so on.  You can look that up very easily.  Here is what #1 says:  Freedom from hung
