ASF Romania: Farm-to-farm contact played big role in spread

About 60% of infections with African Swine Fever (ASF) in Romania’s pig farms have been caused by contact with other infected farms. That was one of the major conclusions of a recent study by French and Romanian scientists. The team used a multi-species model about ASF transmission between pigs and wild boar, using data from the epidemic in Romania.
