A so-called “pulse feeder” for use in the rearing facilities has been named most promising pig innovation idea in the Netherlands. The developers received their prize at the Dutch Pig & Poultry Expo in Den Bosch, on October 15. Essentially, the pulse feeder automatically dispenses roughage when the pigs are active.
