A survey of European vets conducted at a recent International Swine Symposium in Barcelona, found that almost a third (32%) believed that Streptococcus suis was now the most common bacterial pathogen in prewean pigs and over half (55%) said it was the second most important. In nursery pigs, 20% said it was the most common infection and 31% the second most common.
